Responsibilities

What would I be doing?

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for the migration from a legacy ERP system to a modern platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and map existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure that the new ERP system is configured to meet the client's unique business needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support during the testing, implementation, and post-migration phases.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian business regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.

What are we looking for in our ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on ERP systems and business process improvement.
  • Proven experience in ERP migration projects, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of business practices, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with business process modeling and data analysis.

Are there bonus points?

You bet! Extra point for any of the following:

  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) and/or project management (e.g., PMP).
  • Experience with specific ERP systems commonly used in the manufacturing sector (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, Etec).
  • Familiarity with legacy systems and the challenges associated with their migration.
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas or energy sector is an asset.

    Other Important Details

    This is a 3-month contract position. We would like the right candidate to start as soon as possible. We offer competitive compensation and flexible work arrangements. The salary range for the position is $60-$80/hour based on a 40-hour work week. We operate in a primarily remote working environment, but onsite support is required based on the client and project needs.
